“AMERICAN FOOL (DON’T YOU WANT MY STAINS?)”

John “Cougar” Mellencamp (circa his breath-taking American Fool LP, 1983) was a direct inspiration for myself during the recording process of this raucous, acoustic rocker.  Without him and his tender tales of young infatuation, this piece might’ve never seen the light of day.  And for that, I have the deepest artistic respect for Seymour, Indiana’s own hometown legend…  Here’s to another Hoosier Hotshot!
